For months, sending live insects through the post has required a delicate balance of optimism, planning, and occasionally staring at tracking updates like they were a suspense thriller.
“The parcel has left the facility.”
Great.
“The parcel has arrived at another facility.”
Less great.
“The parcel is somewhere between here and there.”
Ah yes, so very informative.
But lately… something strange has happened.
Something unexpected.
Something we almost don’t know how to process.
Australia Post Express is actually… express. Again.
We know. We’re shocked too.
Over the past few weeks, we’ve noticed a significant improvement in delivery times and consistency for our Express Post shipments. Parcels that previously might have taken a little longer than expected are now arriving much faster and with far fewer adventures along the way.
And before anyone assumes this is just one of those “good weeks” where everything magically works before returning to normal… we’ve been advised that Australia Post has made internal adjustments to improve their Express network.
The good news?
This isn’t expected to be a temporary improvement.
These faster, more consistent delivery times are here to stay.
For our customers, that means fewer anxious tracking checks, fewer “where is my critter delivery?” moments, and a better chance of your critters arriving exactly when they’re supposed to.
Of course, shipping live insects will always come with a few variables—weather, transport delays, public holidays, and hopefully the less-than-occasional parcel deciding it wants to take the scenic route.
But overall?
Things are looking much better.
So, thank you Australia Post for making some improvements behind the scenes.
We appreciate it, our customers appreciate it, and we’re sure their animals appreciate it too.
