Boone the Beardie: All Pixels, All Attitude

Boone the Beardie: All Pixels, All Attitude

Some businesses have mascots that are cute, cuddly and require occasional feeding.

We have Boone the Beardie—a 100% AI-generated, slightly judgemental, completely non-interactive reptile.

Yes. You read that correctly.

We’ve debuted a lizard who technically doesn't exist.

We are nothing if not ambitious.

Why Is Our Mascot Not Real?

Great question.

At some point we thought, “You know what this insect farm needs? A bearded dragon.”

Then we remembered:

  • we already raise the insects.

  • we already manage the climates.

  • we already obsess over quality control.

And we realised we’re not quite ready to have the end consumer living on-site, evaluating our work with permanent side-eye.

A real bearded dragon needs:

  • a carefully balanced habitat
  • UVB lighting
  • a basking zone
  • actual responsibility

AI Boone needs:

  • stable wi-fi
  • a decent prompt
  • our wildly inflated confidence

So we created Boone.

Digitally.
Responsibly.
Safely out of biting range.

The choice practically made itself.

Boone’s Origin Story (It’s Very Dramatic)

Boone came into existence the most natural way:

On a screen.
During a caffeine surge.
With no long-term planning.

One minute we were adjusting product photos.
The next minute we were saying,
“What if there was a bearded dragon… but strategically adorable?”

Several prompts later, Boone appeared.

Playful.
Bearded.
Judging us already.

It felt meant to be.

What Does Boone Actually Do Around Here?

Boone’s responsibilities are:

  • looking impressive in marketing materials

  • representing our insect-loving customer base

  • existing without increasing our electricity bill

  • being photogenic 100% of the time

He is the embodiment of every reptile who enjoys a perfectly raised feeder insect.

Does he actually eat our insects? No.

Does he appreciate them? Emotionally, yes.

Does he silently judge your dusting technique? Absolutely. That part feels real.

Why We Created Him (Other Than Mild Delusion)

Because mascots are fun.

And because our insect farm deserves a face—preferably one with a beard and mild authority issues.

He’s our stand-in for the ultimate customer:
Discerning.
Low-maintenance.
Slightly dramatic.

One day, maybe Boone will evolve into a living, breathing, slightly intimidating mascot with a desertscape habitat worthy of a documentary voiceover.

But for now?
He’s perfect exactly as he is.

He doesn’t complain when we forget to clean his tank. (There is no tank.)

He doesn’t demand more insects. (He can’t demand anything.)

He doesn’t glare at us for our snack choices. (We assume. It’s hard to read pixels.)

At the end of the day, Boone is mascot perfection:
All personality.
Zero maintenance.

And a reminder that sometimes the smartest business decision...
is creating a reptile that you don’t actually have to feed.

So, if you’re wondering why there’s a bearded dragon popping up in odd corners of our website, social media and possibly your dreams...

That’s Boone.
